1.	Controls:
	Keeping your energy management system and controls calibrated is crucial to not only comfort but also reduces energy consumption. Poorly calibrated controls not only cause uncomfortable temperature conditions but waste energy by running equipment unnecessarily. Why run equipment during unoccupied times? You may save up to 25% or more just by correcting and calibrating your existing HVAC control system.

2.	Boilers:
	Cleaning and servicing your boiler can reduce fuel consumption by 10% or more! Just 1/8” of soot build up can increase fuel consumption by 8.5%! Soot acts as an insulator between the heating surface and the heat source. Cleaning and tuning along with a combustion efficiency test will assure maximum efficiency of your boiler. The water side also needs cleaning. Just 1/32” of scale buildup can increase fuel consumption by 7%.

3.	Heating System:
	Steam trap leaks depending on the system pressure can increase energy costs significantly. A ½” orifice leak based on 100 PSI, boiler efficiency of 80%, energy cost of $2 per million BTU can cost you $2,480.00 per month in wasted energy!

4.	Chillers and Air Conditioners:
	Dirty condensers, cooling towers, evaporator/condenser tubes greatly decrease heat transfer and add to your energy costs especially when you need cooling the most! Efficiency losses of 10% or more can result just by lack of service to your cooling equipment.
